  • Only breed, or breed to, dogs of good temperament and qualities as described in A.K.C. official standards for Weimaraners, who are certified free of hip dysplasia by the O.F.A.
  • Breed only A.K.C. registered Weimaraners and keep records of each breeding of bitch and stud.
  • Breed only with the intention of improving the breed, and be willing to take back a dog of their breeding if the owners are no longer able to care for it.
  • Not sell or consign puppies or adult dogs to dealers or pet shops.
  • Honestly and fairly evaluate puppies and represent that evaluation t purchasers.
  • Not sell puppies before 7 weeks of age and provide information on inoculations and proper diet.
  • Guarantee puppies to be free from congenital defects until 1 year old, by refund or replacement of dog.
  • Counsel purchasers so they understand and are willing to fulfill the requirements of raising a Weimaraner.
  • Maintain the best possible standards of health and care for puppies and adult dogs.
  • Follow up on sales to be sure puppies are doing well in their new homes and encourage membership in the GSWC. and WCA.
  • Urge purchasers to spay or neuter pet quality dogs.
  • Conduct themselves in a manner that reflects credit on themselves, their dogs and “The Club.”
  • Complaints made to the club alleging non-conformance to the Club’s Breeders Code of Ethics will be addressed under Article VI of the By Laws.
